Performance Database Tool

As innovation with blood tests for Alzheimer’s disease accelerates, clinicians and healthcare decision-makers face a critical challenge:

How to effectively evaluate the accuracy of blood tests.

With multiple blood tests becoming available, understanding how each test performs against established standards is essential to making evidence-based decisions for patient care.

The Performance Database Tool was designed to address this need. This transparent resource brings clarity to the complex and rapidly evolving landscape of Alzheimer’s blood tests, supporting the adoption of innovative blood tests into clinical practice.

The Purpose

Performance Database tool provides an accessible resource for clinicians and health system decision makers to understand how currently available blood tests for Alzheimer’s disease compare to the established performance recommendations by the BBM Workgroup.

The Value

  • Gain actionable insights into the key performance metrics of available blood tests

  • Facilitate informed decision making by identifying tests that align with clinical needs

  • Stay informed with emerging advancements in Alzheimer’s diagnostics

The Method

CEOi engaged companies with available blood tests for Alzheimer’s disease in the US, requesting they complete a standardized data table and provide a publicly available source to support the submitted information. Once data submissions were received, CEOi conducted an independent quality check. Each dataset in the database is clearly labeled with its source.

Only data from cognitive impaired individuals are included in the database. If data was adjusted to exclude cognitively unimpaired participants, this is clearly noted in the respective data table.

Explore the database now and discover how it can support your clinical practice or health system initiatives.
